England's preparations for Thursday's first Test against New Zealand were derailed on Monday when captain Michael Vaughan collapsed during a net session at Lord's.

Vaughan, 29, stretching for a wide ball batting in the practice nets on the Nursery ground behind the main playing area, stretched for a wide ball while batting in the nets, slipped and fell apparently damaging his right knee.

He appeared to have recovered, getting up to his feet and throwing the ball back only to shout out in pain moments later.
Yorkshire batsman Vaughan had a knee brace fitted and was stretchered into a waiting car ahead of further medical examination.
Thursday's match at Lord's is the first of a three-Test series between England and New Zealand.
