“We recorded the statements of the woman and Pomersbach. There is enough evidence against him. We will proceed with our investigation and file a chargesheet within the stipulated time,” said Taj Hasan, joint commissioner of police (central).

Royal Challengers Bangalore batsman Pomersbach was arrested on Friday for allegedly molesting the woman in her ITC Maurya Sheraton hotel room and assaulting her fiancé Sahlil Peerzada when he protested.

The Australian cricketer was granted bail on Saturday on a personal bond of Rs.30,000 with two sureties and asked to surrender his passport and not leave the country without permission.

But the court found no material evidence for the offence under Section 452 of IPC (house-trespass after preparation for hurt, assault or wrongful restraint).

A senior police officer said investigators, on the basis of CCTV footage, were trying to identity a man accompanying Pomersbach during his second visit to the woman’s room on the hotel’s 16th floor.

“One footage showed four people going towards the room – Pomersbach, the woman, her fiancé and his friend Seraj from Mumbai. The second had Pomersbach and another person,” the officer said.
