Do you think there is enough stress on environmental education in the region?
It has been observed that schools, teachers and NGOs concerned with the environment are making an effort, but a problem arises when there is no general curriculum to be followed as a policy that would also bring resources to promote environmental education. Above all, commitment to the cause is of paramount importance.
Does the city come across as an environment-friendly place?
Three to four days is too short a time period to pass judgments. Nevertheless, Chandigarh is a green and beautiful city. The Rock Garden is an inspiring example of integration of environment into society.

The work just doesn't end there. The need is to design comprehensive systems to accommodate economic and ecological needs.
