Ensure regular water, power supply: Malhotra to divisional admn

A number of deputations met Jammu and Kashmir legislative council chairman Amrit Malhotra on Tuesday and apprised him about the difficulties they were facing in getting their basic needs fulfilled.

Assuring them of early resolution their problems, the chairman said instructions would be issued to the divisional administration and concerned officers to ensure regular water and power supply in Jammu.

Malhotra also instructed the Consumer Affairs & Public Distribution Department (CAPD) to ensure that adequate quantities of essentials, including cooking gas and kerosene oil, were available at the government-run depots and fair price shops, in view of the holy month of Ramadan.
