Most of the cases registered for two-wheelers were related to three persons riding a motorcycle. The other cases were related to using fancy number plates or having no numbers on vehicles at all.

“There’re several instances when crimes have been done using cars with no number plates. If we’re finding vehicles, without numbers and necessary documents, we’re taking it in our custody,” said Deputy Superintendent of Police (Traffic) Yogiraj Singh.

Several new cars in the City could be seen moving, without bearing registration number and instead the owners have taken the fancy to put only the brand name of the car on number plate.

However, surprisingly several motorcycles and cars in the City could be seen on roads moving unhesitatingly with fancy number plates bearing a sticker - “POLICE” or “ARMY” on it or on car’s windscreens.
