Company CEO Anil S Nair told reporters on Friday night that the new facility of 10,000 sq ft would house the development centre as well as the administrative wing.

The new centre in Chennai had been built with a seating capacity of about 150 IT developers and is expected to run to full capacity within two weeks.

Nair said the company planned to add another 20,000 sq ft in the city by mid-June to ramp up operations by adding 300 more employees. Esquire would expand by another 15,000 sq ft by the year end, he said.

The proposed expansion would cost the company Rs 15 crore which would be funded in-house by the company, Nair said.

Nair added that the company was expecting to reach an employee strength of 1,000 people by the year end.

Esquire currently has 107 employees in Dubai apart from operations in Bangalore. He said while the number in Dubai would be ramped up to 160-170 people by the year end, the rest would be appointed in India.

Esquire Systems has been involved in developing applications for some large multinational banks in J2EE and Websphere using the IBM component architecture.
