Harbhajan Singh certainly is a man of his word.
Speaking to newsmen at the end of the third day's play of the third Test Saturday, the off-spinner, commenting on the nature of the Warner Park Stadium, had said that it was such a "flat track that even I will score runs on this".
Not only did Bhajji score runs, he scored them at a most vital juncture.
He scored 38 not out, off 66 balls and hit 8 fours, all in his inimitable style, some perfect cricketing shots, some which only he can conceive and execute.
His knock, and the 73-minute last-wicket stand with Munaf Patel, worth 47 runs, ensured that even though India fell short of the follow-on target (382), West Indian skipper Brian Lara did not enforce it.
As Lara explained to newsmen later: "If it was a 300-run lead I would have done it. We have a fast bowling attack and to expect them to take 20 wickets back to back would have been asking too much of them."
Lara hoped his fast bowlers would come back fresh on the morrow, after a night's rest, for their second crack at India.
"We are looking forward to play tomorrow. We are in a very good position. I hope we get a full day's play," he said.

Lara also had a word of praise for VV. Laxman's 100-run knock.
"Today was one of his special innings," said Lara. "He batted excellently, showed a lot of responsibility."
