Former textiles minister and MP from Surat, Kashiram Rana, former minister of state for heavy industry and Rajkot MP Vallabh Kathiria and former minister of state for defence and home and Ahmedabad MP Harin Pathak are not "perceived to be inadequately loyal to CM Modi," said the party insiders.

These three leaders are not in the good books of Modi, who is likely to have a greater say in the selection of candidates for the parliamentary polls in the state, they said.

However, the state BJP leadership is maintaining silence over the whole issue.

"We will declare the names of candidates of Gujarat after March 15," said a general secretary Jayantibhai Barot.

However, when asked whether all sitting MPs will be repeated or not, he refused to comment saying, "The party gives ticket for five year term. After the term is over, its for the party and individual concerned to decide whether to renew for another term or not."
