Deepak Yadav — wanted in the Madhya Pradesh Professional Examination Board (MPPEB) scam — was caught by a special investigation team (SIT) from the city’s Cantt area in Gwalior on Wednesday. Deepak is the son-in-law of former deputy inspector general of police Hari Singh Yadav.
Yadav, who was earlier working with Jagadish Yadav — the key accused in the pre-medical test (PMT) and pre-PG entrance exams scam — was operating a separate racket from Gwalior. He had got 24 students passed in PMT and Pre-PG exams using fraudulent means.
A case was registered against him while he was on the run. According to sources, he had fled the country and was hiding in Singapore before returning to India recently.
Yadav, who had passed the pre-PG exam through the help of Jagadish Sagar, had completed his post-graduation from Gajara Raje Medical College Gwalior and was earlier posted at GA Hospital in the city. He was also running a private hospital in Gwalior.
