Former Maharashtra Minister Sureshdada Jain, a political heavyweight in President Pratibha Patil's Jalgaon district, has joined Shiv Sena.

Jain, who was a minister in the Sena-BJP alliance as well the Congress-NCP combine governments, met Sena chief Bal Thackeray at the latter's residence in suburban Bandra late Friday night.

"I had strayed. Now I feel happy at the homecoming," Sena mouthpiece 'Saamana' quoted Jain as saying during his meeting with Thackeray.
Sena executive president Uddhav Thackeray was also present at the meeting.
After parting ways with NCP, Jain had formed Jalgaon Vikas Aghadi which romped home in the local municipal elections.
