UNABLE TO take the High School Board exam on Saturday morning, students of Dr Lalti Verma Uchchtar Vidyalaya, Handia, went on the rampage. The school was closed whilst the principal and manager were missing. According to reports nearly 470 students had filled up the High School examination forms from the school along with treasury challans which were allegedly fake.
The issue had snowballed when District Inspector of Schools Dr Mahendra Kumar Yadav found irregularities in the forms and immediately cancelled them.
Moreover, he had lodged an FIR against the school management and the principal.
Although, the management had assured the students that they would get relief from the High Court so they could take the exam on Saturday morning, it did not live up to its promise.
When the students reached the school to take the exam, they found the school closed. Agitated they broke the locks of the school and set the furniture on fire. An FIR was lodged by the DIoS at Handia Police station in this connection.
Meanwhile, few examinees of different schools from Kaushambi whose exam centres were created in Allahabad following a High Court order appeared in today’s examination.
As per official sources, only one examinee from Mata Prasad Ucchatar School, Kaushambi, appeared in the examination at Colonelganj Inter College exam centre. Similarly, very few students of the same district appeared at KP Inter College and Jamuna Christian Inter College here on Saturday.

{{/usCountry}}The High School and Intermediate examinations of UP Madhaymik Shiksha Parishad began here on Saturday in two different sessions, morning and evening.
A total of 1,87340 students including 111,888 of High School and 75,452 students are appearing in Intermediate examinations at 340 centres in Allahabad.
As per the Uttar Pradesh Government Order, the DM has divided the entire district into 24 sectors with deployment of magistrates in each centre. Besides, four zonal magistrates have been appointed by the DM.
Magistrates would monitor the exam centres and if mass copying by students were discovered, they could cancel the examination with immediate effect.
