This decision led to further unrest among the employees who reiterated the threat of indefinite strike from Monday. The meeting was held after the vice-chancellor Prof Sirohi, who is presently in New Delhi, intervened on telephone. The meeting had ended in controversy on Thursday.

Ruckus was witnessed for a while even on Friday as the employees came up with some objections regarding the rules. Relevant documents regarding rules were then brought in from the General Administration Department (GAD). The meeting finally started at around 5 pm in the evening and continued for about two hours.

However, there was no solution in sight regarding the proposed indefinite strike as the employees kept pressing for issuance of the orders immediately as per the written assurance of the vice-chancellor.
