"In the last elections too, the exit poll results had been proved wrong and we are confident that the NDA will get clear majority in the Lok sabha elections", he said while talking to newspersons here.

"NDA is already in lead in the elections held so far and after the remaining two rounds are completed, it will get clear majority", Jaitley said.

Prime Minister, Atal Bihari Vajpayee's leadership, policies of the ruling coalition and political stability provided during the last five years are some of the reasons for the coalition gaining the confidence of the people of the country, he said.

"The issue which has clicked throughout the country is the question of leadership and the people have already made up their mind and want to see Atal Bihari Vajpayee as the next Prime Minister," the minister said.
