A Narendra on Friday refuted human trafficking kingpin's charge that he (Narendra) had taken Rs 11 lakh to facilitate migration of five Gujarati women to USA, reports Ashok Das.

Suspended TRS leader and former Union Minister A Narendra on Friday refuted Rasheed's charge that he (Narendra) had taken Rs 11 lakh to facilitate migration of five Gujarati women to USA.

"I do not know Rasheed and I have never met him," he said reacting to the charges made by the arrested passport broker. He asked Rasheed to produce the proof to substantiate the charges.

Narendra said he was a victim of political conspiracy by some forces inimical to him and Telangana and added that he would reveal the names of the conspirators at a later date.

He also said that he was planning to file a defamation suit against Rasheed and one newspaper.

TDP President N Chandrababu Naidu held a high level meeting of his party to discuss the issue in the wake of allegations that some TDP leaders were involved in the passport scam.

The party decided to take strong deterrent action against any party member found guilty. It may be recalled that in the remand sheet of Rasheed filed by the police the name of former TDP MP Suguna Kumari figures.
