Explosive recovered; one arrested in J&K

BSF troops recovered an explosives dump, including 4 kgs of explosives, from the banks of River Tawi in Jammu.

BSF troops on Tuesday recovered an explosives dump, including 4 kgs of explosives, from the banks of River Tawi in Jammu district where a suspected militant was arrested by them, the official sources said.

On a tip off, BSF troops dug out earth and recovered a trunch in Jasoor belt of the district, they said.

A bag containing 4 kgs of explosives, 2 detonators, 8 grenades and 12 meters of wire were recovered from the dump. However, no one was arrested in this connection, they said.

Troops also arrested suspected terrorist Abdul Kasoor from Guda Kalyan area of Kathua district on Monday night, they said adding that two detonators were recovered from him.

Kasoor hails from Fardi Bhindi area of Poonch and was arrested while he was roaming in the area under mysterious circumstances, they said adding he was sent to a joint interrogation centre.
