Even as some sections of the media continued to report that the explosive chemical used in the Hyderabad twin blasts was manufactured in Nagpur, City Police Commissioner Satya Pal Singh dismissed it as a "creation of the media."
Some reports have claimed that an unexploded bomb found near an over-bridge in Hyderabad was made out of an explosive, Neo Gel 90, manufactured by Amin Explosives at Nagpur. Talking to the Hindustan Times, Singh said: "I spoke to the Hyderabad Police on Monday. We have no official communication that the blast may have had anything to do with the city. All this is a creation of the media."
Neo Gel 90 is a brand name used by Amin Explosives. Of the 12 explosive companies in Nagpur, Singh said, five units manufacture Neo Gel. Sohel Amin, managing director of Amin Explosives, said: “We have been manufacturing the explosive for over 50 years. It is used for blasting in construction and other businesses. We sell it to many distributors across the country." He further said that the company basically sold to distributors and it had no idea where the stock may end up finally.
Amin Explosives, which operates through dealers and sub-dealers, has three dealers in Hyderabad and Karim Nagar — Rajshree Explosives, Balaji Enterprises and Chirag Explosives. Preliminary investigations by the city police, based on media reports, have revealed that the company supplied nine tonnes of Neo Gel 90 to its Hyderabad-based dealers in March and July this year.

Uttar Pradesh's Special Task Force team has also been roped to investigate the Harkat ul Jehadi Islami (HuJI), allegedly responsible for the blasts. At the urging of intelligence agencies, the Andhra police contacted top UP police officials on Sunday to share information and work together.
The STF provided details of its operations against the HuJI, including its arrest of the outfit's Kolkata area commander Jalaluddin in Lucknow on July 23, an STF official said on Monday.
