AFTER PHYSICAL works it is now the turn of documentation services to go the Build-Operate-Transfer (B-O-T) way. The district’s second B-O-T facilitation centre (Samadhan Kendra) will be inaugurated by Mayor Uma Shashi Sharma and Indore Development Authority (IDA) Chairman Madhu Verma at Palika Plaza, MTH Compound, on Friday.
The Palika Plaza centre, mirroring the services of the Samadhan Kendra at the Collector’s office, will issue caste, domicile and income certificates besides receiving applications for registration of births, deaths, marriages, Right to Information and arms licence renewal.
Copies of Record of Rights (khasra, B1) will also be dispensed at the facility. The district administration proposes to expand the centre’s oeuvre by arranging for issuance of mining licences, diversion tax and marriage certificates shortly.
“The B-O-T operator, NICT, will operate the centre for five years before handing it over to the district administration,” informed SDM Vivek Shotriya. He said that a total of five, six if one includes the edition at the Collector’s office, are to be set up in Indore district at Mhow, Sanver, Depalpur, Palika Plaza at MTH Compound and Indore City Transport Services Limited office on A B Road.
‘‘While the Sanver centre is already operational, the ones at Mhow, Depalpur and ICTSL are under process and will start functioning soon,” he added.
