Available at a very affordable price these currency detectors and note sorters are set to find place in petrol pumps, multiplex, departmental stores and even food grain shops.

“Take for instance the Lucknow-based panmasala giant who gets cash in high quantity. On our advice, he installed a note counting machine and soon found that he was getting short notes. Now, he has four such machines and within 5 minutes he can check all the cash received,” said KN Verma business development manager of JayEnn India Pvt Ltd.

Since 1950, there have been 15 to 18 different issues due to security reason and it’s tough for layman to check all measures.

Now these machines are not limited to the banking industry. The cheapest pocketsize machine currency detection machine is available for Rs 4,500 and suits general traders, the one of counting note loose starts from Rs 10,000 and for bundle notes Rs 45,000.

Eyeing the thrust on automation in banking, they will be launching Information Kiosks in about three months.

“These will provide full customer services-related information at the push of a button. This will reduce the customer load for inquiry and staff can give more time in other banking activities,” said Verma.
