The Commerce student of Apeejay School, Faridabad, has topped the country in CBSE’s Class XII boards.
Since Faridabad lies under CBSE’s Panchkula circle, Aggarwal’s result was announced on Wednesday.
She was declared the topper in the Commerce stream in the Panchkula circle then.
But with the results for the rest of the country being announced on Friday, Aggarwal emerged as the joint first in the country.
“My hard work has paid off but I never expected success of such a magnitude,” said Aggarwal.
The Sector 9 resident said she had increased her study hours and also took tuitions in the months preceding the boards.
A high scorer all through, she secured 96.2 per cent marks in Class X and 92.6 per cent in her Class XI.
“It is a pleasant surprise that my daughter has topped Class XII,” said Ashwani Kumar, Aggarwal’s father.
“Tannvi was a brilliant student who did perfectly well in the pre-boards also,” said Shipra Kedia, who taught Aggarwal economics.
