The baby girl had died at the spot.

The report was submitted to the AIIMS wing of the Ballabgarh hospital on Monday.

“The report has been submitted without the statement of the woman who delivered the baby, or her husband,” said an official. But officials said that the couple had not filed any written complaint and the hospital authorities had ordered a probe into the incident on its own. The hospital had expected that the couple will join the probe, but did not, said a hospital official.

“The enquiry officials submitted the report on the basis of statements by other patients,” said Dr Puneet Mishra, a senior doctor at the AIIMS wing of Ballabgarh hospital.

He also confirmed that the hospital requested repeatedly the aggrieved couple to join the investigation but they did not turn up.

It may be mentioned that the woman’s delivery at the hospital gate had triggered protests in Ballabgarh on Thursday last week. The incident occurred when one Khem Singh of Hari Nagar in Ballabgarh alleged that he went to the hospital with his pregnant wife Puja after she complained of labour pain.

Singh alleged that the hospital staff refused to admit the woman because there was still time left as her delivery had been scheduled for mid-November.

The couple alleged that when they left hospital, around 1.30am, the woman delivered the child on main gate of the hospital.
