A 21-year-old man has allegedly been killed in Thailand after his family failed to pay a ransom of R30 lakh to his kidnappers. Palwal police informed the family about the recovery of the man's body on Tuesday.

Prem Pal (21), a Palwal resident, had gone to Malaysia on October 2, 2011 in search of jobs with his friend Sanjeev Kumar (21), a resident of Ballabgarh. Their families got a ransom call from alleged kidnappers on October 17 for the duo's release.

While Sanjeev was released and he returned to India after his family deposited around Rs 6 lakh, Prem Pal was kept hostage.
