After the meeting at Indira Gandhi auditorium in Sector 6, farmers will also address a press conference.
Following intervention from local Bahujan Samaj Party MP Surendra Singh Nagar, the Noida authority has extended an invite to farmers for talks aimed at ending the ongoing logjam.

Hundreds of farmers have been agitating in Noida for over a week now for increased compensation and rehabilitation benefits for their land acquired.

“The letter has come from the MP. We have also got a telephonic invite from the authority CEO. The letter has acknowledged our struggle for just causes. We have been invited to solve the ongoing crisis in the interest of all stake-holders,” Kisan Sangharsh Samiti spokesperson Mahesh Awana said.

The samiti, which has been demonstrating across the city, has already submitted a 21-point charter of demand. “Our most important demands are increased compensation and allotment of developed land plots,” Awana said.
