Unsatisfied with the Allahabad high court judgment which provisioned for a limited share in developed plots on their acquired land, villagers held a panchayat on Tuesday at Itheda village in Noida Extension and decided to move the SC.

Around 150 petitioners from various villages took part in the panchayat. The petitioners said the high court has missed the legal point for which they had filed petitions.

“The maximum limit of 2,500 square metre of share in developed plot is not justified. We want this limit to be abolished and 10% developed land should be provided to farmers for their acquired land. More than 30% farmers are affected by this clause,” said Ranvir Pradhan, one of the petitioners.
