DISTRICT MAGISTRATE Dr Hariom on Friday stressed the need to conserve and to promote the culture of resistance against the forces of reaction in eastern UP. He said the culture of administration should get protection and patronage.
Dr Hariom was delivering his views on the second day of the Gorakhpur Film Festival at the Convocation Hall of Gorakhpur University here today. He also enjoyed the screening of a Charlie Chaplin film.
Dr Hariom said the power of the common man was very important. Every one had energy and the capacity to struggle and the film festival was underlining this doctrine of nature. Dr Hariom appreciated the organising committee which was trying to build consciousness on these issues.
The audience enjoyed the screening Charlie Chaplin’s The Great Dictator and Satyajit Ray’s films. The Convocation Hall was packed to capacity and the younger generation also expressed their reaction through writing their comments on a blank sheet displayed at the venue.
