Both the director, Ashwini Dheer, and producer, Amita Pathak, were insistent on shooting at the location rather than in a set in the studio.

"It is always exciting to shoot here. If I had my way, I'd shoot at least one scene at Chatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus in every film I make," says Dheer, adding, "The ambience that one gets at this location is impossible to match in a studio. There are so many people, so much happening. It adds to the charm of the sequence." Dheer admits that getting permissions wasn't easy. But his production department ensured that everything was sorted when they reached the station on the morning of November 20.

Says Pathak, "We followed the standard procedure and in a fortnight, got the go ahead for to shoot."

She says, "The railway police managed the crowds within the station while the city police ensured that too many people didn't get into the premises while we were there. We also had our own security personnel. We wanted to shoot at Chatrapat Shivaji Terminus but at the same time we didn't want to inconvenience the common man. I think it went off well."
