CBI public prosecutor S.P. Ahluwalia presented his arguments before the court and appraised the court about Surinder Koli’s confessional statements made before the Metropolitan Magistrate at Patiala House Courts in New Delhi in March 2007.

Ahluwalia also informed the court about the modus operandi of Koli to lure victims into his alleged trap. He also told the court that Koli made the confessional statements at his own free will and without pressure. He also told the court that he was appraised by the magistrate about the effects of his statement on the case.

Rimpa Haldar was one of the victims of Nithari-Noida, who went missing on February 2, 2005. A missing complaint was lodged at Sector 20 police station in Noida on July 20, 2005. A search team was organised by the Noida police to search for the missing children.

In all, 19 skulls were found from the drain adjacent to Moninder Singh Pandher’s D-5 residence in Nithari. Sixteen of them were of children who had gone missing. One of them was found to be of Rimpa Haldar after the DNA test.

As of now, 15 chargesheets have been filed by the CBI. Further hearing of the case would be held on December 12.
