The FIR was registered by Balaghat district police against Bisen and others under section 188 of the IPC for violation of the prohibitory orders issued under section 144 of the CrPC during the ensuing Lok Sabha polls, official sources said here today.

Ever since the Lok Sabha polls were announced, it is for the second time that Bisen landed into trouble because of his actions.

The Election Commission (EC) has already reprimanded him on the issue of alleged distribution of wrist-watches to journalists and also threatening a person.

Bisen, along with others, were carrying swords in their hands during the Ramnavmi festival procession being taken out under the aegis of Sri Ram Mandir Trust in the naxal-affected Balaghat district.

The event was covered by the media and on the basis of video-footage the administration has decided to lodge an FIR against the minister, Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) worker Heera Singh and Bajrang Dal activist Lalit Pardi among others, sources added.
