MEMBERS OF FIR(Forum of Indians against Reservation) have received consent from prominent personalities like Shiv Kheda and Navjot Singh Sidhu that they would attend the 12-hour mass hunger strike against reservation at Gandhi Statue in Phool Bagh here on June 18. The IITians are also trying diligently to conduct a live Aap Ki Adalat here at Phool Bagh during the mass hunger strike.

For this, the FIR members are trying to invite Rajat Sharma, TV personality and against him the IITians want either HRD minister Arjun Singh or Union minister Meira Kumar. Though FIR members have so far got confirmation from Navjot Singh Sidhu and Shiv Kheda, on Wednesday they were busy contacting Rajat Sharma and one of the pro-reservation ministers in the Central government.
Talking to Hindustan Times, a member of FIR Rahul Gupta said, “We have got approval from Navjot Singh Sidhu and Shiv Kheda and they will be present in the mass hunger strike on June 18 here with us.” He also said, “We are going to organise a lecture of Shiv Kheda on the occasion and Navjot Singh Sidhu will express his views before the people sitting on mass hunger strike.” Abhishek, a member of FIR said, “We are also contacting Sri Sri Ravi Shankar to ensure his presence here in the city on June 18 but we have yet to get his consent like Rajat Sharma, Arjun Singh or Meira Kumar.
Meanwhile, FIR members have sent an e-mail to Rajat Sharma and other ministers to be present at the mass hunger strike on June 18. IITians, students of HBTI and medicos all want Aap Ki Adalat before the general people and are optimistic about the visit of the prominent personalities on June 18.

{{/usCountry}}In this regard a formal press conference will be organised at IIT-K premises on Thursday, in which the students will reveal the names of the personalities before the media.
The FIR members are now working overtime to collect funds. Matching up to the IITians, the medicos at GSVM are also working to collect fund from senior doctors and residents to make the June 18 mass hunger strike a grand success.
Meanwhile, the medicos of GSVMMC have selected the auditorium as the place to sit on anti-reservation protest in their luncheon from 1 pm to 2 pm.
Dharamveer Singh, a medico said, “Right now our focus is to make available all sorts of help to FIR members in mobilising the maximum crowd on June 18 and after that we will ponder over intensifying our anti-quota stir.”
