Fire breaks out in B'desh Parliament building

Though nobody was injured in the fire that broke out in at least 3 places, some important documents were destroyed.

A fire broke out in Bangladesh's Parliament building on Saturday, a government statement said.

Though nobody was injured in the fire that broke out in at least three places, a chunk of important documents were destroyed. The Parliament was closed at the time, said MA Halim, spokesman for the Parliament Secretariat.

A six-member committee has been set up to investigate the incident.
