The station officer of Uluberia fire brigade was killed on Sunday as a running train knocked him near Uluberia station in Howrah district.

The police said Goutam Dhara died on the spot when the train hit him as he was walking along the railway tracks to reach office.

He got down from a train in Uluberia station.
