Panic gripped a mall in the upmarket Koramangala area in Bangalore after a fire broke out but no one was injured, police said.

"All the people have been evacuated. There is not a single person inside the Forum Mall," DCP (South) S Ravi said.

"A lot of smoke was coming out. Three fire engines rushed to the spot to put out the fire", Ravi said, adding "there was no casualty."

Sources said the fire apparently broke out in a food court in one of the upper floors of the mall, one of the major landmarks in the area dominated by IT offices, multiplexes and a number of branded outlets.
