Hand writing expert Jayant Aher told Special Judge M L Taheliyani that he had concluded that the two handwritings —map markings and Ansari’s writing sample — were of one and the same person.

Sketch of roads connecting South Mumbai to Malabar Hill was recovered from Abu Ismail.

The police have been saying that Ansari had visited a number of Mumbai landmarks before attacks and drawn maps and handed them over to Lashkar-e-Tayyeba commanders across the border.

The map markings and Ansari’s handwriting samples were a clear match, Aher told the court.
