The suspended students include Sudhanshu Singh (Room no: 50), Rajesh Kumar Singh (Room no: 50), Abhishek Kumar Yadav (Room no: 47), Prateek Mishra (Room no: 73) and Suryabhan Yadav (Room no: 51).

It is to be recalled that a new AU student allotted Room number 50 by the varsity authorities was ragged and beaten up when he demanded possession of the room on August 31.

The student had reported the matter to the hostel warden who had then served show cause notices on two students.

However, the next day, the students along with their friends created ruckus, indulged in violence and even tried to stage a road blockade.

They also misbehaved with the warden and the proctor. The mob could be dispersed only after a mild lathicharge by the cops.
