Five awarded life imprisonment in murder case

A local court in Narsinghgarh town near Rajgarh has awarded life imprisonment to five persons in a murder case, prosecution said today.

A local court in Narsinghgarh town near Rajgarh has awarded life imprisonment to five persons in a murder case, prosecution said today.

The sentence was awarded by Additional Session Judge, B R Patil yesterday against them for murdering one Sunil (22) on March 15, 2009 following a minor dispute at village Semla Ramsingh in the district.

The accused persons attacked Sunil with knives and later fled from the spot after a dispute over laying power supply cable from a transformer.

When they were doing their job illegally, Sunil who was standing nearby opposed them following which they attacked him with knives.

Sunil was rushed to the hospital in Bhopal but he succumbed to his injuries en route, the prosecution said.

Later, police registered a case and subsequently arrested all five of them identified as Ramphal, Aabid, Qadir, Shahid and another Aabid.

The court also imposed a fine of Rs 1,000 each against them.
