Five-day week for state Govt employees: Raje

The Rajasthan Govt announced several sops which included five-day week for the state Govt employees and increasing the retirement age of the staff of autonomous bodies.

The Rajasthan government on Friday announced several sops, which included five-day week for the state government employees and increasing the retirement age of the staff of autonomous bodies from 58 to 60.

Addressing the 62nd Independence Day function in Bikaner, Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje also announced a 6 per cent hike in Dearness Allowance for the state government employees.

She also announced formation of Nagar parishads in Hanumangarh, Jhunjhunu and Kishangarh and formation of nagarpalikas in Loonkaransar, Khajuwala and Napasar.

In her speech Raje announced increasing of pension of freedom fighter from Rs 2,600 to Rs 6,000 per month, running of a royal Rajasthan train for boosting tourism, establishment of sainik kalyan board in seven districts and gift of Rs 15,000 to widows on their marriage.

Raje said posts of 400 veterinary doctors lying vacant would be filled up soon and about 700 new places would be created.

She also announced appointment of 6,000 nurses and regularising the services of ayurvedic employees.

Earlier Raje unfurled the national flag at an Independent day function held in Karan Singh stadium.

She also presented the President's police medal to IGP (Crime) Ajit Singh and 15 others police officials and employees.
