Five persons have been killed in landslides triggered by incessant rain in eastern Nepal, an official report said on Thursday.

Two houses were completely buried under mud as the landslide hit Lamabagar village in Dolakha, 140 km east of Kathmandu on Wednesday, and killed five persons, the national news agency reported.

Another man, who was rescued, sustained serious injuries and has been hospitalised.
Ten other houses located in the village have been hit by the landslide.
