At least five persons were killed and 12 others injured, two of them critically, when a mini truck overturned near Bakreswar in Birbhum district of West Bengal on Wednesday.
The group was coming back from a crematorium when the driver lost control of the vehicle at Metala locality, police said.

While five persons died on the spot, 12 were taken to hospital by locals. The condition of two of the injured was serious.
Unconfirmed reports put the toll at six.
The group had come to Bakreswar to cremate a woman and was returning to their native Hetampur village when the mishap took place. The victims included the family members of the woman.
