Five killed, one injured in Bihar road accident

Five people were killed and another injured when the jeep they were travelling in dashed against a roadside tree at Paljori village on the Bihar-Jharkhand border.

Five people were killed and another injured when the jeep they were travelling in dashed against a roadside tree at Paljori village on the Bihar-Jharkhand border late last night, police said on Sunday.

Police said those killed have been identified as Manoj Singh and Ajay Singh (both practising lawyers at Jamui district court), Mahesh Singh, Sato Singh and Soni Singh, all residents of Mehsouri locality of Jamui, the district headquarters.

The injured identified as Gautam Singh had been admitted to a hospital in Deoghar in adjoining Jharkhand.The accident occured when they were to returning to Jamui from Jamshedpur.
