Five suspected militants have been nabbed by police from different parts of South Assam's Hailakandi district.

Five suspected militants have been nabbed by police from different parts of South Assam's Hailakandi district, official sources said.

Three militants were arrested from Baruncherra area under Katlicherra police of the district while they were trying to attack a villager's house on Saturday.

Two other militants were arrested from Katlicherra Bazaar following the first arrest but the identity of the militant outfit was yet to be ascertained, the sources said.

A gun and some other arms and ammunitions were recovered from the apprehended militants.
