Five persons, including three gangsters, were killed following a clash in Sahebganj district today.

The trouble began when three armed men shot dead a local JMM leader Mustaq Ansari at Mirza-tola, Superintendent of Police S K Jha told newsmen in Sahebganj.

Chased by the villagers, the killers entered a hut which was set on fire allegedly by the villagers. Two of the killers were charred to death while another was shot dead by an unidentified person when he tried to escape.

An innocent person, apparently the owner of the hut, was also killed in the fire.
