THE STATE BJP has been making an elaborate and ‘five star’ arrangements for not only the party leaders but also for over 200 journalists, who are expected to be here to cover BJP’s national executive, national council meet and a rally scheduled to be held in the State Capital from December 22 to December 24.
The top leaders of the saffron brigade, including former prime minister Atal Bihar Vajpayee and former deputy prime minister LK Advani, chief ministers of the BJP-ruled states, former chief ministers and a few others, would be the State guests while others would stay in hotels and private guest houses, which have already been booked in advance.
Special attention is being paid to keep ‘guest journalists’ in good humour, as 55 rooms in a hotel have been booked exclusively for them with round-the-clock facility of vehicles. One car each will be allotted to a team of two journalists.
As many as 50 computers with Internet and Hindi and English fonts, two fax machines with STD facility and a team of devoted party workers would also be made available to help journalists covering the events. A hall for holding press conferences has also been readied.
Confirming these arrangements, State BJP spokesman Dr Manoj Mishra told the Hindustan Times that the national executive would be held at the Convention Centre of the King George’s Medical University (KGMU) while the national council meeting would take place at the Saraswati Shishu Mandir, Nirala Nagar on December 22 and December 23 respectively.

{{/usCountry}}The rally organised on the eve of the birthday of Atal Bihari Vajpayee (December 25) will be at Ambedkar Maidan for which the party has been making hectic efforts to mobilise maximum possible number of the party workers to make it a ‘historical’ event.
The proposed rally is being termed in the BJP circles as launch of the party campaign for the forthcoming Vidhan Sabha elections and it would be addressed by almost all the senior leaders, including Atal Bihari Vajpayee, LK Advani, Arun Jaitely, Dr Murli Manohar Joshi, Shushma Swaraj, Rajnath Singh, chief ministers of the BJP-ruled states besides others. vijaysharma@hindustantimes.com
