THE STATE Cabinet today endorsed MP Court Fee (MP Amendment) Bill, 2006 paving the way for hike in court fees. The court fees were last increased nine years back in 1997. The fee for filing petition has now been proposed Rs. 500 in place of Rs. 100.
Similarly, the fee for filing other applications has also been proposed as Rs. 100. The Cabinet also decided to expand the base of Deendayal Antyodaya Upchar Yojna to cover all the people below poverty line irrespective of castes.
Besides, the Cabinet has also decided to extend the period of the special recruitment drive for physically challenged people.
The Law department has been directed to take action for reintroduction of the court fees bill in the State Assembly. This Act will be enforced with effect from April 1, 2006.
The Cabinet meeting held this evening was chaired by Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan. State Cabinet decided that the families of other classes living below poverty line would also be benefited through the Dindayal Antyoday Upachar Yojana.
As many as 24 lakh more families of all the poor sections would get benefit of the scheme. Under the scheme facility of medical treatment up to Rs 20000 has been fixed. The State Cabinet also granted permission for local purchase of medicines and other necessary materials by relaxing the existing store purchase rules up to 30 per cent of the budget allotment. There are a total of 45,86,053 BPL families in the State at present.

{{/usCountry}}So far over 20.38 lakh BPL families belonging to SC/ST availed themselves of the facility. The State Cabinet extended the period of the special recruitment drive for filling up of the vacant posts reserved for the physically challenged to March 31, 2007. Earlier it was fixed as March 31, 2006.
The Cabinet decided to give the benefit of pension to the employees retired from the units of the MP State Industries Corporation at par with the pensioners of the State Government. This benefit would be given to such employees under the corporation who were drawing the salary of the pay scale fixed under the fourth pay commission and retired after January 1, 1996.
The State Cabinet also approved the revision in the work allocation rules to appoint the Home Department as the nodal Department for execution of the Disaster Management Act 2005.
The Cabinet accorded sanction to create the posts of two Additional Commissioners along with 12 Deputy Commissioners for Commercial Tax Department. The State Cabinet has decided to give exemption to the All India Dayanand Sevashram Sangh New Delhi a non-government institution for its Thandla branch in Jhabua district from the provision of grant and registration in Madhya Pradesh.
