A Delhi-Hyderabad Indigo flight carrying around 200 people on board made an emergency landing at the Nagpur airport after a passenger suffered a heart attack.

The passenger, Neelratan, complained of uneasiness in his chest following which the plane had to make an unscheduled landing at the Dr Babasaheb Ambedkar International Airport, airport officials said.

The passenger was later rushed to a private cardiac hospital and was admitted there, they said, adding that flight resumed its onward journey after a one-hour delay.

“The passenger who suffered a mild heart attack is now stable,” said Abid Ruhi, the airport director at Nagpur.
