Floundering Kites faces yet another blow!

The string of the Rakesh Roshan's ambitious project Kites has been severed yet again! The film's Bihar distributor is reportedly filing a case against the producers for selling it as a Hindi film.

The string of the Rakesh Roshan's ambitious project Kites has been severed yet again! The film's Bihar distributor Gopal Bhartiya is reportedly filing a case against the producers for selling it as a Hindi film.

Gopal Bhartiya apparently is not amused with the Spanish dialogues of the movie, which of course left the Bihar audiences scratching their heads.

Confirming the news to a Mumbai Mirror he says, "I am in a state of shock. I am just back from Mumbai where I met the CEO of Big Pictures (co-producer) Kamal Gyanchandani and Rakesh Roshan. I clearly told them that what they did is not right. When most people in Bihar do not understand English, how are they supposed to understand Spanish? I will file a case against them."

Produced by Rakesh Roshan and directed by Anurag Basu, Kites was released on 2000 screens in India and across 500 screens globally, according to distributor Reliance BIG Entertainment. It opened on 208 screens in North America, making it the largest Bollywood release there to that time.
