Prof HN Mishra from IIT, Kharagpur, said this in his capacity as chief guest during a five-day entreprenuership development programme on bakery and soyabean products. The programme was organised by the Centre of Food and Technology (CFT), Allahabad University (AU).

Mishra said the present GDP was 30 per cent and only 18 per cent of the labour force was involved in agriculture and preservation.

Raj Kapoor from the American Soyabean Association (ASA) Delhi, said the bakery and soyabean- based products would open new employment avenues which was important for an agriculture-based economy like India’s.
