Foolproof arrangements for Amarnath yatries: Minister

Asking pilgrims not to pay heed to rumours spread by vested interests, the state government today claimed to have made foolproof arrangements for smoothly conducting the yatra to Amarnath.

Asking pilgrims not to pay heed to rumours spread by vested interests, the state government on Saturday in Jammu claimed to have made foolproof arrangements for smoothly conducting the yatra to Amarnath.

The adminstration has been directed to gear up its men and machinery to ensure comfortable travel and stay for Amarnath pilgrims, J&K Minister for Revenue, Relief and Rehabilitation Raman Bhalla told pilgrims and shopkeepers during his visit to different areas of the city.

Bhalla who visited Nai Basti, Apsara Road, Shastri Nagar, Kunjwani and Gandhi Nagar areas of the city said the officcers have been asked to leave no stone unturned in extending all necessary conveniences including transport, medicare, drinking water and security to the yatries at the Yatri Niwas in Bhagwati Nagar and other identified places.

The Minister enquired about the facilities being extended to the pilgrims from Railway Station to Yatri Niwas at Bhagwati Nagar by the administration.
