Formula One: Hamilton wins British GP

McLaren's Lewis Hamilton won the British Grand Prix at the Silverstone circuit followed by BMW Sauber's Nick Heidfeld who finished second while Honda's Rubens Barrichello came third.

Hamilton's win in the ninth of the season's 18 races sees him tied atop the drivers' standings alongside Ferrari drivers Felipe Massa and Kimi Raikkonen.

The Briton was joined on the race podium by BMW Sauber's Nick Heidfeld, who finished second, while Honda's Brazilian veteran Rubens Barrichello recorded a shock third place.
