"Four punters were arrested in a raid on Thursday night. A detailed investigation of paper slips and other documents recovered at a farm house indicated that they were operating satta (gambling) of not less than Rs 10 million," Additional Superintendent of Police (Raipur) Ajatshatru Bahadur told reporters.

He said police were interrogating bookies - Nitin Tiwari, Chandrasekhar Thakur, Sanjay Agrawal and Lalit Thakur - to arrest their associates involved in the betting racket.

Crime branch sleuths raided the farm house in Datrenga area in Chhattisgarh capital Raipur when the match between Pakistan and Canada was underway in Sri Lanka.

Police recovered several tape recorders and 14 mobile phones besides other electronic equipment.
