Four armed members of the Chhota Shakeel gang have been arrested in east Delhi, the police said.
They are wanted in over 11 cases, including two high-profile murders.
Two revolvers, 11 live cartridges and a couple of knives have been recovered. Police are now on the lookout for Tarikh, who had allegedly been directing them to carry out crimes in Delhi and Mumbai.
While three of them were arrested on February 5, the fourth was arrested on Tuesday evening. They were identified as Sahin Safi, Riaz Amar (both from Meerut), Mohammad Salim from Seelampur, Delhi and Wakil alias Sonu from Mauzpur, also in Delhi.
Of the four, Safi and Salim were sharp shooters with the gang and were involved in contract killings, the police added.
"These gangsters of the Chhota Shakeel group were profile criminals and were masters of contract killing. Among the four, two were part of the group that killed builder Deepak Sharma in Delhi and the owner of a bakery in Mumbai," Karnail Singh, Joint Commissioner of Police, Special Cell, said.
A case has been registered and further interrogations are on to find out the details of their network and other associates, Singh added.
Chhota Shakeel used to operate from Mumbai but is now said to be based outside the country.
