Four doctors transferred for non-performance in J&K

Four doctors of the Baramulla district hospital on Saturday were transferred by the Jammu and Kashmir government for overstayed tenure and non-performance on complaints of locals.

Four doctors of the Baramulla district hospital on Saturday were transferred by the Jammu and Kashmir government for overstayed tenure and non-performance on complaints of locals.

The order came following a surprise visit of Chief Minister Omar Abdullah to the district hospital on Wednesday.

Surgeon Mushtaq Ahmad Dar and Assistant Surgeon Waheeda have been transferred to District Hospital Bandipora.

Bashir Ahmad Darzi and Masood Ahmad, both Assistant Surgeons, have been transferred to sub-district hospitals in Kupwara and Uri respectively, as per an order issued by Health and Medical Education Department.

These doctors have been replaced by Abdul Majid Sofi, Javeed Ahmad Chochoo, Rafi Arshad and Sabiya Sikandar, all Assistant Surgeons.
